Jones Anand is an upcoming Indian cinematographer who works predominantly in Tamil movies. He made his debut with a Tamil movie ' Baby Click to look into! >> Read More... ' (2015) which was directed by D Suresh. The cinematographer has worked in just two films, but his second film ‘ Tharkappu Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ (2016) is still remembered for being a high-octane action film that had a substance. Sure, the spectacle was good in the movie for photography, it left us feeling wanting more such cop-criminal sequences.

One can say that the film ‘Tharkappu’ (2016) is based on the anatomy of many fight scenes. The film also depicts how timed fight sequences, fight choreography can show us how to shoot fight scenes that tell the story of the film. As a cinematographer in the movie 'Tharkappu' (2016), Jones Anand had to take his camera lens to capture the full throttle action which was awesome. The job of the cinematographer is to build the characters visually and establish his stakes as a cameraman. The first step that any director of photography would do is to write fight scenes that will leave an impression on the viewers.

Be it near Chennai flyover, or a godown, or even in the hotel café, the scenes for the movie ‘Tharkappu’ was established on the dotted line with camera tricks of Jones Anand. Even the night and dark sequences were equally brilliant. Especially one must mention those scenes when the police vans remain halted and try to catch the culprits. The climax scene in the movie is shot to an outstanding level.

It is indeed very tough to shift the camera angle always for fight scenes and frame the characters uniquely which Jones has done brilliantly. In the year 2015, Jones captured a Tamil horror movie ‘Baby’ directed by D. Suresh. The film was a horror movie. It is s not surprising that a child's birth and death has been chosen to feature as the catalyst for this horror movie, and aptly titled as ‘Baby.’ One must give a lot of kudos to this cinematographer Jones Anand, and director D. Suresh for making a great and haunted horror movie.
