Besides being cinematographer is a passionate actor too. He has been working as the director of photography since the age of 25 and much younger times. He has worked on many projects in this field and has many years of experience in making feature films. He made many documentaries that are very well published. He has done an over 500 advertising films. His passion towards cinema is huge which cannot be noted.

Om Prakash being a veteran cinematographer for high budget movies also directed some of the short films which are popular at entertaining through his cinematography skills. He has been working since 2002, where he started with the movie NilaKannadi a Tamil movie which was a hit of short budget movies. His Hindi cinematography movies include Faujme in mauj in 2016, Arrambam and much more. It is a great achievement that he played a role of assistant-director in the great socio-fantasy thriller and horror movie kashmora in 2016. His latest projects include Aramm in Tamil.
