Arun Utrapathy was born in Thanjavur, the city of culture and temples in Tamil Nadu. He works as an associate director in Kollywood and has helped several notable directors in the industry with script direction and casting. Reminiscing about the beginning of it all, Arun recalled he was passionate about working in films ever since. For him, the world of films was always a merry escape from real life. And he did exactly what every dreamer should do! He followed his passion and joined the industry at the first opportunity. Formerly, Arun worked as a student reporter at Ananda Vikatan. He joined the company in 2010 and often wrote about films. In 2013, he joined N. Lingusamy as an associate director. After working with him for almost six years, he joined H.Vinoth as an associate director. Arun has contributed to several films in the industry, like- Anjaan and Sandakozhi 2.
