O.A.K. Thevar is a Tamil celebrity born in 1924 near Usilampatti in Madurai. Previously, he was named Karuppu Thevar. During his school days, he was more interested in extracurriculars. He enjoyed singing and dancing. But his father wanted him to become an army officer. After completing school, his father got him enrolled in the military. Thevar never left his passion. He sang there, and his voice was a deep motivation for the soldiers in the South Battalion.
After four years, his military service was over, he returned to his village after receiving the news of his deceased father. He never returned to the camp later. When he came to Trichy, he went to the drama of Shakti Drama Sabha's Camp and met many artists. He also got the role of a hero named Veerasamy. Thevar also did films like Thigambara Samiar, Raja Desingu, Annai Illam, Kalam Vellum, and many more. Unfortunately, he died in the year 1973.
