Vinu Janardanan

Vinu Janardanan is a writer, director, cum journalist, working in the Malayalam entertainment industry. He completed his Bachelor’s in Mass Communication and Video Production at the Mar Ivanios College in Trivandrum. He did his PG Diploma in Journalism at the Institute of Journalism, Press Club, Trivandrum.

He interned at Asianet News before joining Mathrubhumi News TV as a promo director and consultant. In 2012, he worked as a broadcast journalist. In 2017, he wrote the screenplay for the short fiction Rabbit Hole. The Agam Story is his first documentary. He directed it in 2019. Since 2014, he has been the associate director in the film industry. He is the show director for Kappa TV’s The Happiness Project.

Vinu directed a documentary film Hanna, which premiered at the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala, held in Trivandrum in 2024.
