Shruthi Vijayan

Along with being a television presenter, ‘Shruthi Vijayan’ exhibits skills in various other areas as an artist and doctor. The hostess is also an aesthetic physician, dancer, make-up artist, stylist, and entrepreneur. Vijayan schooled at Holy Angels’ ISC School and later pursued MBBS at AJ Institute of Medical Science in Mangaluru, Karnataka. After that, the VJ worked at Cosmopolitan Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., Trivandrum. She works as a makeover expert and stylist at Grandeur By Shruthi in Trivandrum.

The VJ works at Rosebowl Channel, Asianet Satellite Communications Ltd. She has also been a part of the show ‘Merry Go Round’ and works with Kappa TV. Vijayan is also a part of the Grandeur Art Studio since 2016. Vijayan attributes her success to her father, who constantly motivated her to perform to the best of her potential. She also feels that she grew up in a family of independent women who also acted as a motivation for her to follow her passion.

In her own words, she got absolute confidence when she pursued her MBBS. At the same time, she wanted to help other women gain confidence, which led to her trying a hand at bridal make-up and conducting grooming sessions for women. It was there that she provided training on hairstyling, makeup, and dressing.Besides hosting television shows, Vijayan manages her bridal boutique. She works as a model and makeup artist and also gives Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam performances. The VJ is also an author with a few of the books to her credit.

Shruthi has immense family support, with her father being a retired PWD officer and her mother Prema, a businesswoman. Her grandmother Agnes used to be a teacher, while her sister Smriti pursued MBBS like her. The versatile hostess constantly strives to break the glass ceiling and dreams of scaling heights in everything she does. Vijayan has also featured on the show ‘Women On The Move,’ that aired on the Malayalam channel Jaihind TV in 2018. The doctor exchanged wedding vows with Jiji Philip Varghese, a business management consultant, in 2018 and has a child.
