Reena Basheer

Reena Basheer is a South Indian actress who is famous for her cookery show in Asianet. She is a mother of 2 grown up kids and is of 36 years of age. She became a housewife at the age of 18, however, now, she is a well-known face in mini-screens. Reena was the head of an Arts and Crafts school where she taught her ideas in painting, craftwork, etc. In 2006, she was a participant in the show, “Vanitha Ratnam”, and her entry in the show was a big surprise. It was her son who sent her details to the show and she was selected.

The show made her way to the Big Screen. Her first movie was “Mulla”, which was starred by Dileep and Biju Menon. She played opposite to Biju Menon’s character. Her character, Malathi in the movie was so nice that she got many movies back-to-back. She has done almost 25 movies and she played a wonderful role in the movie, “In Ghost House Inn”, which was a comedy movie directed by Lal. She anchored in the Travel-cum-Cookery show, “Taste of Kerala”, which was aired by Kairali TV and that made her a familiar face in the field of Anchoring.

She is now doing a cookery show in Asianet’s Taste Time programme and has a lot of fan following. Her recipes are very simple and healthy, which is what makes her famous. Her presentation style is also quite different. Now, she has many movies in her hand and is doing “Yathra Chodikathae”, which is a movie in Malayalam. She also hosted the show, “Indian Voice Grand Finale” aired by Asianet, and anchored shows like “Munch Stars”, etc.
