Indira Devi

K R Indira Devi born in kanchipuram 1949-2017,as Indira Devi, was an Indian actor and film actor who worked in the Tamil Cinema in the latter half of the 20th century. He was best known for his supporting roles, but was also a successful dubbing artist. In a career spanning nearly 50 years, he starred in more than 250 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Indira started as a heroine in Konjum Kumari (1963). Presented to Kalaimamani by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Later, at 14 years of age , she moved to Chennai and joined a drama team and started performing in stage dramas. He then entered the film industry and began his career in the Support role. In 1959, he starred in Kann Thirandhathu playing with Mynavathi under K. V. Srinivasan produced by Narayanan Companies and was a pair on screen. Karunanidhi. She played her first role as a heroine with Konjum Kumari playing R. S. Manohar and Manorama under the direction of G. Viswanathan was also produced by Modern Theaters in 1963.

Indira also starred in the film Konjum Kumari. The film also features the dynamic character Manorama who has been nominated for the title of heroine. The film was produced by editor-in-chief G. Viswanathan. The film was the 100th film of Modern Theaters. T's last film. R. Sundaram.  Indira worked with Sivaji Ganesan and S. S. Rajendran in the drama group R. K. S., and Sivaji Ganesan's stage play called Thenkoodu.

Indira's father K. S. Ramasamy was a well-known Carnatic singer and stage performer.  Indira is also the older sister of the famous singer Anuradha and the mother of the late singer Jayageetha.
