Singer Srinivas

Srinivas is an Indian playback singer. He was born on November 7, 1959, and is 57 years old. He is also known as Srinivasan Doraiswamy. He is famous for lending his voice to more than 2000 songs in a variety of languages like Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. He was born in the town of Ambasamudram, after which his family moved to Thiruvananthapuram. His guru is his aunt, Padma Narayan, and she trained him in Carnatic music right from a young age.

Rahman and Srinivas worked in collaboration and in 1994, Srinivas moved to Chennai to be closer to Rahman’s base. He continued to give voice to various advertisement jingles and also devotional songs. Srinivas’ first commercial hit was Sorgam Enbathu Namakku in the movie ‘Nammavar’, which was a super hit. He worked with Rahman once again in 1996, and this time he hit the jackpot. Apart from singing, Srinivas also tried his hand at music direction and was tremendously prosperous in that department too.

Srinivas is a senior singer who predominantly sings in Hindi, Telegu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada films. Besides singing, he has also composed few songs. He was born on November 7, 1959. His birthplace is Ambasamudram, a small town in Tamil Nadu. Sometime after his birth, his family shifted their base to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. His aunt Padma Narayanan is an acclaimed Carnatic musician, and it was she who inculcated yearn for learning music into him.
