T. T. Sainoj was a renowned playback singer of Mollywood who hails from Ernakulam district of the state. He was born on 21 February 1977 and had passed away at a young age of 32 on 22 November 2009. It is so sad that such a talented singer had to vanish away from this planet leaving his many dreams unfulfilled. Sainoj took a deep interest in learning music at degree level. For this purpose, he joined the music degree at Chittur Government College. From the same college, he completed his graduation and post-graduation in music. Later on, he took part in the ghazals and light music competition organized by Akashvani (AIR) and won a Central Government scholarship for achieving an excellence in the field of Carnatic music. His deep interest in music and its competition fetched him many more citations and honor. For instance, he was selected three times in the Calicut University for music festivals and given ‘KALAPRATHIBHA' title. This budding singer Sainoj was a topper at a contest organized by Kairali TV channel and Sainoj won 'Gandharva Sangeetham' contest in 2002 for a TV show. The singer has five films to his credit. While his first song was composed by Mohan Sithara, and last song was for music composer M. His passing at a young age makes us remember the Tamil movie ‘Payanangal Mudivathillai’ where the singer breathed his last for illness who had hidden it from the public. This singer too had hidden about his illness from the industry but then an artist always feels that his voice is to be understood by all but not the disease at all. He left behind his father, mother, sister and brother in deep great. He was not married and had been a bachelor. But his passing away kept the industry mourning for several months.
