Sangeeta Sachith was a South Indian singer and Carnatic musician who played over two hundred songs in the South Indian film industry. Sachith was born and brought up in Nagampadam, Kerala. Later, she moved to Chennai. She has a daughter, Aparna, her father, VG Sachith, and her mother, Rajamma. Sachith started her career with top industries like MTV, producing a Tamil song, Parthuputta, in the movie Naalaiya Theerpu. She later collaborated with famous singers like AR Rahaman and worked in multiple films like Ennu Swantham, Janakikutty, Kakkakuyil, Pazhassi Raja, etc.
In her career, Sangeeta Sachith won the Tamil Nadu Government Film Award Ceremonies and sang the song Gnana Pazhathai Pizhinthu. At this ceremony, Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa made his presence and praised her lovely voice with a gift of a gold chain. Sangeeta Sachith's last song sung by her is in the movie Kuruthi. Sangeeta spent her 20 years in the world of music. Sadly, she died at the age of 46 due to a kidney-related ailment.
