Jomon is an Indian writer and director who worked well in the Malayalam film industry from 1990 to 2006. He made his directorial debut with the film Samrajyam, which became a big success in the business industry. This performance led to the film's release in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, where it received a good response at the box office. Before this, Jomon was an assistant director in many films, including Aalkkoottathil Thaniye, Uyarangalil, Adiyozhukkukal, 1921, and Douthyam.
However, it was with Samrajyam that he became an independent director in the Malayalam film industry. Starring the legendary Mammootty in the lead role, the film not only became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of its time but achieved phenomenal success, running for over 200 days in theaters across Kerala. It managed to remain unchallenged for over 400 days in Andhra Pradesh. Other famous films in the Jomon repertoire include Jackpot, also starring Mammootty.
It is worth noting that despite the commercial success of these films, not all Jomon films achieved similar success at the box office. But his contribution to the Malayalam film industry is no lie. He has made many films like Samrajyam (1990), Anaswaram (1991), Asadhyulu (1992), Jackpot (1993), Yaadhavam (1993), Karma (1995), Siddharth (1998), Unnathangalil (2001), Bhargavacharitham Moonam. Khandam (2006).
