Dileep Viswanath

Dilip Vishwanath, a producer, was born on May 16, 1974, in Palaikkal, Thrissur district, Kerala, to BSNL executives Viswanathan and Radha. He finished his primary education at St. John's School in Karuvel, Kundera, in his father's village. He then graduated in English Literature from Sree Narayana College in Kollam. He participated in a lot of literacy competitions.

As a literary competition participant, Dileep also had a friendship with prominent novelist and classmate GR Indugopan, which led to his film career. After his graduation. Dilip Vishwanath moved to Houston, USA, in 2004 to work in the field of Computer marketing. When he got in touch with his friend Indu Gopan, he shared his interest in directing the film "Ottakaiyyan" with Dileep. The movie Ottakaiyyan starred Harishree Asokan, Asokan, and TG Ravi as leads and was released in 2007. MG Radhakrishnan contributed by being behind the camera.

He also contributed to the film Oralpokkam, released in 2014, which won the Netpack and Fiprasky Award for Best Malayalam at the International Film Festival (IFFK 2014) held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. They also got an award at the Kerala State Film Awards. He also produced a film called Undanipokkam, directed by Sanalkumar Sasidharan.
