MP Veerendra Kumar is an Indian politician from the Kerala constituency. He was born on 15th August 1937 and left the world on 28th May 2020 in Kozhikode, Kerala. Veerendra was an Indian politician, writer, and journalist and was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha. As a chairman and managing director of the Malayalam daily newspaper Mathrubhumi, he was also a member of Loktantrik Janata Dal and the president of theKerala state branch.
Some of his works as an author includes Samanwayathinte Vasantham, Buddhante Chiri, Ramantedhukkam, Roshathinte Vithukal, and many others. Veerendra also several popular awards for his contribution, like V.R. Krishnan Ezhuthachan Janmasadabdi Award in 2009 and Kendra Sahitya Academy Award in 2010.
