B Sasikumar is an Indian-origin Malayali musician. On 27 April 1949, he was born in Thiruvalla. He was born in a traditional musical family to M. K. Bhaskara Panicker and G. Sarojini Amma. His early music classes started at his home. His father used to teach him music. He was a Nadaswaram maestro, a musician, and a composer. Later, he decided to study music further and joined Swati Thirunal College of Music, Trivandrum, Kerala. He earned his Ganabhooshanam and Ganapraveena degrees in music under the guidance of violinist Chalakkudy Narayana Swamy. In 1967, he became a lecturer at Swati Thirunal College of Music. In 1971, he joined All India Radio, Trivandrum, as a staff artiste (Violin).
