He had never compromised on quality, and his songs were very classical. The composition was also of very high standards. Although the composer did not compose music for many movies in Malayalam cinema, he strengthened South Indian classical music by composing songs for devotional albums.

He has given music for the maximum number of devotional songs, which were mostly private albums. Some of the compositions of his songs in movies were high-standard and it required master voices of Yesudas, S. Janaki, K. S. Chithra, and even M. G. Sreekumar. He belonged to the old traditional style of music and has even composed music for folk songs. If one hears a couple of songs sung by veteran playback singer Yesudas, one can easily feel that his standards in this music industry are of high quality.

His songs, 'Chandanam Manakkunna', 'Nashta Swargangale Ningalenikkoru', and 'Kalpantha Kalatholam' were all high-pitched songs, and only Yesudas has matched the scale. The music composer has composed music in Noolappam' (2016), and 'Ithinumappuram' (2015).
