Jovin John

Jovin entered the film industry on November, 2007. He lives in Kochi, Kerala and is a native of Nayarambalam. He has a brother named Dany Johny.

The editor is affluent in Malayalam, English, and Tamil language. He is an alumnus of Neo Film School. Jovin met Sony Harris, his significant other four years ago. He got engaged to Sony Harris on April 2, 2016 and the couple got married on the auspicious date, 19 April, 2016. On February 15, 2017, he won Best Editor award for Faceless Men in Festellen Festival Bangalore event. John also received a momentum from the actress Meenakshi for his work in Meenukutty, a Malayalam cartoon. He actively takes part in Youth Meet & Mega Event, an event held in church during Christmas.

He works for KL7 Entertainments which is a production house company and the editor’s new venture. He was also an employee of YDJ media. The editor is very active on the Facebook page. He even asks for suggestions or ideas to his followers on his Facebook page. Jovin is part of many ad film shoots. His recent ad shoot was on 4 April. Other than these he has done many other ad films too. His short film The Return Gift, was fully shot by mobile with zero budget. It crossed 5 million + viewership.

He was also part of a music video “Amaarite,” sung by Sreya Jayadeep Indian-born Satya Jayadeep is a singer whose talen >> Read More... and dedicated to P.V. Sindhu, Sakshi Mallik, and Payyoli Express P.T. Usha. Jovin’s edited Faceless Men was a huge hit and garnered him an award too. Faceless Men is a short film which showed the plight and life of a common man. The movie altogether got eight awards. He made a movie Aana Mayil Ottakam in the comedy genre. The feature contains three short films in it.

The editor will be directing a project soon, as he has posted pictures and video of his set on Facebook. Jovin edited Ithihasa, one of the highest grossing movie of 2014. The plot based on two people swapping their bodies. Currently, he is also working for the film Lakehouse. He was also the part of Celluloid which released on 15 February 2013. The film got 1 International Film Award, 1 National Film Award, and 7 Kerala State Awards. Jovin has earlier worked for Assisi Vidyanikethan School. He was also part of the debut flick of director Nayana Sooriyan, Pakshikalude Manam. In 2016, he finished the shooting for Crossroad directed by Nemam Pushparaj and edited the movie Shyam which released on 26 August.
