V R Gopinath is a well-known Malayalam director who hails from Kerala. He has been honored with the Kerala State Film Award for Best Movie and National Film Award for Best Educational/ Instructional/ Motivational Film. He has directed movies such as Greeshmam, Our Lady of Lourdes, Oru Maymasappularayil, Poothiruvathiranalil, Unnikuttanu Joli Kitti and Poothiruvathira Raavil.
Apart from direction, Gopinath was also interested in writing, acting, and editing. He has written scripts and dialogues for movies such as The Divine Touch, Parasparam and Greeshmam. He has acted in his own direction, Our Lady of Lourdes and has played a role in editing the very same movie. He has also been the producer of a film named The Divine Touch ,i.e. Devasparsam.
