Santosh Sethumadhavan

Following the footsteps of his father, K.S. Sethumadhavan, Santosh Sethumadhavan too, joined the Film Industry as a director. As a young boy, Santosh was always intrigued by his father’s work and hence, decided to make a career in the same field.

He completed his schooling from Asan Memorial Senior Secondary school and got a degree from A.M. Jain College in Corporate secretaryship.

To enhance his work, Santosh worked under some well-known directors like Bharatham, Priyadarshan, and P.C. Sreeram.

Before officially entering the Film Industry, he worked in a media house where he was in charge of many programs.

This creative director has also made several commercials for promoting tourism in Tamil Nadu. Santosh’s first film as a director was a short movie named ‘Appuvin Nayagan- Spotty.’’ This film was based on a short story by Indira Parthasarathy and has been critically acclaimed.

One of his other renowned works include ‘The Mask Of God’ and the movie has been named under the genre ‘uncommon’ film at the 44th Khajuraho Dance Festival. He has drafted and directed this picture for the government of India.

One of his recent movies is ‘Where the Tree Sings’ and is a symbolism of the importance of green resources. Santosh is married to Navina and has two children.

This skilled and extremely talented director has created a great impact on the Indian Film Industry with his extraordinary pieces of work which not only deal with the present issues but also provide a rave understanding of the topic.
