Siddique Shameer

Siddique Shameer is one of Malayalam Film Industry’s most talented and creative director, writer, and a novelist.

Siddique Shameer is the son of the late screenwriter, filmmaker, and novelist, Moidu Padiyath. He is born and bought up in Kodungallur, Thrissur, Kerala.

To gain experience as a director, Siddique worked as the assistant director in the film ‘Eeran Sandhya,’which had been released in the year 1985.

He started his career with the movie Kadal in 1994. Kadal is a Malayalam film which is both directed and scripted by Siddique Shameer.

Some books that bought fame to Siddique in his illustrious journey as an author are ‘Kallayippuzha,’ ‘Nikkaah,’ ‘Kalippaavakal,’ ‘Ninamaninja pokkkal,’ ‘Orunokku kanaan,’ and ‘Chakkarakkudom.’

His contribution to the literal world has been impactful. Ishtamanu Nooru Vattam( released in the year 1996) and Mazhavikood Aram’(released in the year 1995) are some other movies directed by Siddique Shameer. Mazhavikood Aram is a love story which showcases the struggles of the lead character.

As a screenwriter he has corresponded some incredible movies like ‘Kaalam Maari Kadha Maari’ and ‘Mohabbath’(released in the year 2012).
