Harikumar Director

Hari kumar is an Indian director and film script writer. His works of direction are generally seen in the Mollywood or Malayalam film industry. His career in the Malayalam cinema industry spans almost more than thirty years. He has won many nominations and awards for his works, even at international fests. He started his career as a director in the year 1981 with the film Aambalppoovu. He also was a part of the story writing team of the movie. The film Snehapoorvam Meera released in the year 1982. For this movie, he did the direction, story, and screenplay.

The year 1985 had one of the most famous and loved Malayalam film releases, Ayanum, which featured stars like Madhu, Srividya, Mammooty, and Innocent. Harikumar was the man who directed this wonderful film. He also directed the film Sukrutham, which featured Malayalam cinema superstar Mammooty in the lead role, which was another hit film which released in the year 1994. He also did the screenplay for this movie.

Udyaanapaalakan, a romantic Malayalam drama movie, featured with Mammooty in the lead role was another super hit movie released in the year 1996and was directed by none other than Harikumar. These movies have helped him garner numerous nominations and awards at various award functions and even international film festivals. He is married to Chandrika. This couple has three children Ammu, Harikumar, and Geethanjali. He was one of the members of the National Award Jury in the years 2005 and 2008.
