Manu Jagadh is a Malayalam Art Director, active since 2007. He worked as an Art Director for more than a dozen films. He started his career with Mission 90 days(2007) in Malayalam. He had also worked in Kamala in 2019.
He is famous for being associated with the team of “Baahubali: The Beginning,” which was released in 2015. He was the one who drew sketches for Baahubali's grand sets and sites in the movie, including for statues of Palvativan and Bahubali. He is also known for many controversies claiming that he was cheated by Rajamouli, as during the film, he was hired as an art director but was given credit as art assistant after the movie was shot.
He is the disciple of Sabu Cyril Sabu Cyril was born on January 27th in Kerala’s Ko >> Read More... , a famous production designer in the Indian film industry. Manu Jagadh is a Malayalam art Director. He is a native of Kasargod, Neeleswaram. After he graduated from Government College of Arts, Chennai, he worked as an assistant to Sabu Cyril for about nine years. He won the State Award for Best Art Direction for his film "Calcutta News," directed by Blessy, and proven as an art director in most South Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
In the movie Bahubali, Manu drew sketches of sets that included the ancient statues of Mahishmati Rajdhani, Palvativan, and Bahubali. Although Manu was the art director of Bahubali, he reported that he was insulted by getting credited as the art assistant. However, the film's production designer Sabu Cyril later revealed that this was due to a technical error. Manu's wife, Akhila Manujagath, is a dancer who lives in Kochi.
