Anil Kumbazha is calm and creative though, 'Pallimani marks his start as a director. Filmmakers like Barathan and Rajeev Anchal came to M-Town as art directors and later focused on making films out of a plane. Although he has been working as an art director, making films has always been in his heart. He thinks art directors are closer to the filming process, rather than assistant directors.

They have clarity on how the draft will be written, or how it will appear in the output. He always wanted to direct the film and now everything is ready. ‘Pallimani’ as the title suggests is about the church. His film traces the events of the day after the family arrived at the old church. Shweta Menon and Nithya Das will be starring in the cast.
