. Ashok began his career by anchoring shows for Doordarshan Malayalam, following which he briefly worked on local television channels. Subsequently, he worked on many channels and shows, primarily conducting celebrity interviews.
He achieved his breakthrough in television through the JaiHind TV show Swad, a cooking travelogue show showcasing the variety of cuisine from all over the state. Following the success of the show, he became a household name, eventually landing an anchoring job at Super 4, the extremely popular music show. Ashok has also acted in the Surya Tv serial Sarayu.
