Delsy Ninan is a popular anchor and singer from Kerala, India. She moved to Chennai and did her post-graduation in Mass Communication at the Women’s Christian College. During an inter-collegiate contest, she joined the popular music show, Sapthaswarangal on Sun TV, and won the Best Performer Award. Later, she joined the all-girls band called Girlz and performed in several television programs. Delsy turned playback singer through Sunny Viswanath’s critically-acclaimed film, Israa, where she sang the title song of the film, along with Australian singer, Seraya Young. From then, she started singing for Malayalam films like Ashwaroodan in 2006, Sooryakireedam and Subhadram in 2007.
She also sang in the Telugu film, John Appa Rao 40 Plus and the Tamil film, Thee Nagar. Besides films, Delsy also sang the title songs of many Malayalam TV serials. She has no formal training in classical music, but this led her in learning Carnatic music and Hindustani from Padmanabhan and Ustad Fayaz Khan respectively. In 2013, an album entitled Climax was released, where she sang the track, Mayangan Kazhiyilla Oru Shalabathiinum. In 2014, she collaborated with Shouvik Ghoshal in the songs Nahi Saamne and Katrin Mozhi. In 2015, she sang the song Malare from the movie Premam. She had performed in several stage shows and had been part of several shows around the 22 states in the United States.
