He holds a bachelor’s in physiotheraphy from GBR AC Campus, Anaparthi, East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. He works as an Indian television presenter and film director in Telegu Television and Films.

Omkar debuted on television as a video jockey in the music show Ankitham on Gemini Music in 2005. He presented the dance reality show ‘ Aata Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ on Zee Telugu. This show became very popular, and people started calling him as Omkar Annayya. He further produced, created and hosted many television shows like Maayadweepam, Challenge, 100% Luck, etc. He also hosted other shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Juniors on Zee Telugu.
