She started her acting career in Kannada. She worked for almost 15 Kannada serials. After that she got a chance to act in Telugu serials. Her first serial in Telugu was Chandramuki, she played title role in this serial, and nearly 5 years she worked for it.

Manjula’s husband’s name is Nirupam. He is also an actor. He is the son of actor Omkar. He is from Chennai, but his mother tongue is Telugu. He was played a hero role in Chandramuki serial. Manjula’s and Nirupam’s love started through this serial. First Nirupam proposed Manujula and then she accepted and their both parents have also accepted their love. And now they are having one kid Akshaj Omkar.
