Mrunthunjay C Doddwad, was born on January 12, 1975. He was born to parents Shri Chandrashekhar Doddawad and Smt Susheela Chandrashekar Doddawad in Hubli City Karnataka. Mrunthunjay was keen on music from childhood and became a disciple of the Late Sri N Balasubramanyam at an early age. The singer, well known for his direction and composition of light music, graduated from the Adarsha Film Institute, Bangalore. Mrunthunjay started his musical journey by teaching the keyboard to students in various organizations. He later joined the James Institute of Modern Music under his guru, Late Mr. James.
The singer also worked in the famous orchestra; ‘Sound of Music’ inaugurated in 2009. The orchestra gave fame to Mrityunjay as a singer, keyboard player, and music director. In 2015, Mrunthunjay was nominated for his song Bhaava Geetheyaaguva as the best music composer in the light music category. Mrunthunjay sang various songs, including for films and spirituality. A few of his songs Saptha Saagarvannu and Alli Thudiyuva Radha ang Hege kareyali have been the top tracks in the Kannada music industry. The singer is also the founder of Sangeetha Dhama Music Academy in Bangalore, which offers various courses like brass flute, guitar, table, veena, vocal training, and other things.
