Konda Subbarama Das (known as K.S.R. Das) was born on 5 January 1936 in Venkatagiri, Nellore (now Andhra Pradesh, India). During his lifetime he was seen in various roles such as film director, film editor & even a screenwriter .He had directed many blockbuster films in south Indian languages especially his contribution to Telugu and Kannada film industry is great. As a director he made about 30 films with Telugu superstar Krishna like Takkari Donga, Chakkani chukka in the year 1969 which was produced by Y.V.Rao. His Mosagallaku Mosagadu movie was a trendsetter in Indian film industry which was dubbed into many languages. He has worked with many superstars such as N.T.Rama Rao, Chiranjeevi, Rajnikanth, Sobhan Babu, and Vishnuvardhan. He was awarded with Puttanna Kanagal Award by the Karnataka state government. This dynamic personality died on 8 June 2012 at the age of 76. Â
