Swaroop Murgod

Swaroop Murgod is the creative director of News18 Kannada, where he oversees News18's South Indian news channels. Guru Kala Kutir, a Bengaluru-based media firm, was founded and owned by Swaroop Murgod. Guru Kala Kutir is a media company that has produced Shrimathi Bhagyalakshmi, a daily TV series, and Nirbhaya, a weekly crime show, for Suvarna TV. Three seasons of Bigg Boss have been closely related to Guru Kala Kutir. He graduated from Hansraj College with a bachelor's degree. He was the former Creative Director of Asianet Suvarna News and CNN-Executive News18's Producer. After successfully finishing a 20-year career as a TV news journalist, Swaroop Murgod launched Guru Kala Kutir.

He's worked for Zee News, Aaj Tak, Star TV, NDTV, CNN-IBN, and NEWSX, among others. He moved to Bengaluru five years ago and oversaw production and packaging for TV9 KANNADA, Suvarna News 24*7, and News9, a Bengaluru-based English news station. Swaroop is presently working on TV series and travel shows. In addition to generating television material, Guru Kala Kutir has covered a number of music performances, media events, and post-cricket match analysis shows. It has also created a number of corporate videos and offers technical help for outsourcing media creation.
