Known as Brahmavar, Sadashiva Brahmavar (1928-2018) was an Indian actor who starred in Kannada movies. He is best known for his supporting roles in films such as Guri (1986), Samyuktha (1988), and Sri Manjunatha (2001). Sadashiva was born and raised in Bailhongal, Belagavi. He had a son and a daughter.
Sadashiva began his acting career in the theatre. The filmmaker 'Siddalingaiah' noticed him and provided a role in the 1977 film Hemavathi. He later appeared as a teacher, father, priest, and guardian in many films. He also played negative roles in several films, such as Samyuktha, Garuda Dhwaja, and Nigooda Rahasya. From Hemavathi in 1977 to his last movie in 2017, Bangara S/O Bangarada Manushya, Brahmavar has played in nearly 150 films in Kannada. Brahmavar died on September 19, 2018, due to age-related illnesses. He was 90 years old. As per his request, his death news was announced a day after he was cremated at the Banashankari crematorium.
