Mona Singh is a popular Indian model-turned-television-actress who appeared in Ekta Kapoor’s Indian drama soap, Kya Huaa Tera Vaada, as the female lead protagonist, Mona Pradeep Singh. She is the ex-wife of Pradeep Singh (played by Pawan Shankar), and the story revolves around their life as a young couple who resides in Mumbai, along with their three children- Bulbul (played by Sargun Mehta), Rano (played by Ananya Agarwal) and Rajbir (played by Yatin Mehta). It is a family story that portrays the struggles of Mona after his husband has an affair with other women.

She also did a pivotal role in the comedy drama film, 3 Idiots, under the direction of Rajkumar Hirani, in 2009. She played the role of Mona Sahasrabuddhe, the elder sister of Pia. Later, she acted as Koel Datta in the Bollywood comedy thriller film, Utt Pataang.

Mona Singh was born on October 8, 1981, in Pune, India. Besides modeling and acting, she is also a TV presenter and a good dancer. She was once a winner in the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, on Colors TV. Her debut in television was from the popular series, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, the Indian version of Yo Soy Betty, La Fea or Ugly Betty. She played the lead female protagonist role of Jasmeet Walia, the wife of Armaan (played by Apurva Agnihotri). This is the serial where Mona won the Best Actress in Drama Series and Outstanding Debut in the 2003 Aspara Awards. She also got the Television Personality of the Year and Best Female Actress in 2004 Indian Telly Awards. Mona also received the Best Popular Actress in the Indian Television Academy Awards in 2004, Best Female Actress in Indian Telly Awards, and Best Actress for Drama in the Indian Television Academy Awards in 2005. The show itself also won many awards over the years that it was aired.

From 2008 to 2009, she played the wife of Dr. Shekhar Kapoor (played by Apurva Agnihotri) in NDTV Imagine’s, Radhaa Ki Betiyan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi. Besides acting, Mona is also an excellent television presenter. She hosted the Female Miss India, Season 2 of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega Season 1 to 3, fourth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Shaadi 3 Crore Ki, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega 4, Star Ya Rockstar, and Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega 5. She also made a guest appearance on Imagine TV’s, Ratan Ka Rishta, in 2011, and joined the Meethi Choori No. 1 in 2010.

Mona was also part of the AIDS event in November 2006. Subsequently, she signed on with Sony Entertainment Television for being the brand ambassador of the channel for a span of 13 months. Mona was also part of the show, Extreme Makeover and Extra Shots. She became an ambassador for several brands as well.

Mona Singh had a controversy when an MMS video leaked and went viral on the Internet. But the actress says, it was not her and she was saddened that someone would morph her body into someone else’s body just to make an overly sensational video. She filed a complaint against the Cybercrime Cell and she hopes that they can easily track the culprit responsible for this controversy.

Mona Singh was born on 8th October, 1981, in Chandigarh, India. She made her debut on the small screen with the television drama named “Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi”. Her character called Jassi accumulated lots of fame and applause for her. Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi aired on Sony Entertainment Television, accumulated lots of T.R.P, and became one of the most popular television dramas of that era.

Mohini was born in Jaipur, India and got married to actor and writer, Jeremie Campbell in 2005. Few years ago, she came to Mumbai along with her elder brother. Her father is a rich businessman and an exporter of Rajasthani products. They came to Mumbai to find a better life quality. When she resisted, her mentor got mad and removed her from the promotion of the film. She was not even invited in the film’s premiere and press conference. The film was a flop and she looked horrible in the film. She received negative comments because of her terrible costume. But out of all the newcomers, she was the only one who got the impression. After all the off-putting incidents, she was roped in to do a role in Yeh Mohabbat Hai, Tamil films, and an emergence in the song, Apni Yaadon Ko Chhod Na Jaana in Bollywood romance film, Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat. She also acted as the mother of Omprakash Raichand in the television soap, Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan. Monaz Mevawala is a Hindi television actress who appeared in the drama series, Meet Mila De Rabba on Sony TV. She played the role of Dolly, the younger sister of Geet (played by Surilie Gautam). She became controversial when she was abused on her way to the shoot of the show, Savdhaan India by an auto rickshaw driver.
