Mohini Sharma

Mohini Sharma is an Indian television actress who appeared as Naani Maasi in Klassic Productions’ Maayka – Saath Zindagi Bhar Ka on Zee TV channel. Mohini was born in Jaipur, India and got married to actor and writer, Jeremie Campbell in 2005. 

Few years ago, she came to Mumbai along with her elder brother. Her father is a rich businessman and an exporter of Rajasthani products. They came to Mumbai to find a better life quality. She was supposed to work in Germany where her fluency in Sanskrit will be used for her job. She never had any acting experiences, nor joined any school acting activities. But it took her less than 5-minutes to answer Dev’s offer. Her parents were both hesitant at first, but agreed since she will be doing a Dev Anand’s film. Her brother supported her decision but he doesn’t like the idea of having a break with a director who had not delivered any blockbuster films in the past years. But Mohini was determined to do the role. 

Mohini was supposedly appeared as the heroine while Govinda will be her hero. But her role was reduced and become a friend of the heroine after the movie took off with more newcomers. She was not able to sign outside films; it seems that Dev Anand refuses. When she resisted, her mentor got mad and removed her from the promotion of the film. She was not even invited in the film’s premiere and press conference. The film was a flop and she looked horrible in the film. She received negative comments because of her terrible costume. But out of all the newcomers, she was the only one who got the impression. 

After all the off-putting incidents, she was roped in to do a role in Yeh Mohabbat Hai, Tamil films, and an emergence in the song, Apni Yaadon Ko Chhod Na Jaana in Bollywood romance film, Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat. She also acted as the mother of Omprakash Raichand in the television soap, Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan. Prior to this, she was also part of the drama serial, Shanti – Ek Aurat Ki Kahani on DD National, and later, it was aired on STAR Plus channel. She played as Tulsi, the mother of Shanti who played as the main protagonist of the show. 

Mohini’s aspiration was to become a popular actress and she also wants to build her own production house in few years time.
