Rasheed Naz is a Pakistani Film actor well known for his work in Pushto. He was born in Peshawar, Pakistan, on 9 September 1948. He used to go to watch Natak and Manch Nukkad with his father. He has been into acting since his childhood. When he grew up he started working with local theatre group as a support artist. His talent and acting skills made him climb the ladders of success very quickly. He was offered to play a lead role in his theatre group. He worked in plays in many languages such as Hindko and Pashto. He worked in theatre for over two years, until he was offered to play a role in a Television play named ‘Pushto.’ These plays gave him a lot of fame and built a huge fan base all over Pakistan. Later, he worked in a play which was in Urdu.

It was his first play in the Urdu language, and the name of the play was ‘Aik Tha Gaoon,’ which was aired in 1973. His talent attracted many directors and he was offered to play a role in Pakistan’s first private Television play named Dasht, which was telecasted on N.T.M. He also worked in a play named Namoos. Later, in 1988, Rasheed Naz made his debut in the film industry when he was offered to work in Zama Jang (Meri Jang). The movie was made in Pashto. Later, he worked in his first ever Urdu Film named Dakait, directed by Syed Noor. He was also offered to work in “Khuda Ke Liye,” directed by Shoaib Mansoor and after that, he was asked to give appearance in Shoaib Mansoor’s video song, “Ishq Mohabbat Apna Pan,” alongside Iman Ali.

He has also worked in Larki Punjaban, directed by Syed Noor, starring Babar Ali, Shamil Khan, Saima. He has also played a role in a Bollywood movie “ Baby,” directed by Neeraj Pandey, starring Akshay Kumar, Danny Denzongpa, Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Anupam Kher, Rasheed Naz, and much more. He played the role of Maulana Mohammed Rahman. In 2015, he worked in a TV series named Diya-e-Dil as Beddar Khan. The series was directed by Haseeb Hasan, starring Sanam Saeed, Hareem Farooq, Abid Ali, Maya Ali, Milkal Zulfikar, and others. He also played a role in ISIS: Enemies Of Humanity, directed by Yuvraj Kumar. Rasheed Naz is currently working in “Parwaaz Hay Junnon,” directed by Haseeb Hasan. This movie is to be released by the end of summer this year.
