Shoaib Mansoor is a very talented and appreciated director, writer, producer, musician, and lyricist from Pakistan. Shoaib Mansoor, also known as ShoMan, was born on 4th February 1951 to an ordinary family in Karachi, Pakistan with no privilege of a filmy background. He is known for his work in various Pakistani films and television shows. He began his career in the film industry in the 1980s. In 1987, Shoaib Mansoor got into the mainstream of the Pakistani television industry when he wrote and composed the song ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’. The song bought colossal appreciation and recognition to Shoaib, which marked a significant turning to his career. Shoaib Mansoor started his journey in the 1980s as a lyricist and got part of the pop band ‘Vital Signs’. Later Shoaib stepped into the direction field by directing a music video, ‘Ishq Mohabbat Apna Pan.’

ShoMan has directed various Pakistani dramas and a few comedy shows, which were great successes. Among these, Ankahi and Alpha Bravo Charlies are still among the favorites. ShoMan entered the field of film direction with great success with his debut movie ‘Khuda Kay Liye.’ The movie was released in 2007 and received the Silver Pyramid Award from the Cairo International Film Festival 2007. Later, his other film ‘Bol’ starring Mahira Khan, Atif Aslam, and Humaima Malik, released in 2011, broke all the records at the box office. Being the Director, he was also the Producer, Screenwriter, and Music Composer of ‘Bol.’ In 2017, his other film ‘Verna’ starring Mahira Khan and Haroon Shahid released in Cinemas. Movies like ‘Bol’, ‘Verna’ and ‘In the Name of God’ by movies are among the great successes of Shoaib Mansoor. ShoMan enjoyed a very successful career inked by multiple awards and recognitions.

ShoMan received the presidential honor of Pride of Performance and Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan which decorated his successful career. On the 43rd anniversary of Pakistan Television in November 2007, the President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf awarded Shoaib Mansoor, the PTV Life Time Achievement Award. His incredible work has made ShoMan, Shoaib Mansoor, one of the most famous artists in Pakistan.
