Brothers Bapi and Tutul are Hindi film music composers. Elder brother Bapi is famous for his proficiency in Guitar and the younger one, Tutul is a pianist. Originally from Muzaffarpur district, Bihar in eastern India, the duo is currently settled in Mumbai. Their father was a reputed Sales Professional. Music is in their blood as their mother had been a music reader in Bihar University and influenced her children by training them in classical music from a very early age. Bapi and Tutul graduated in Vocal music from Prayag Sangeet Music Academy, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh

. Later, to diversify, the duo came to Mumbai and started learning western music from Rodrick Bismark, and they were his pupils from 1994 to 1999. In the initial days of their career, they scored music for some ad jingles and taught music to students.
