From a Model to a Karate champion, this tall and dusky woman is all about breaking stereotypes. She is born and brought up in the city of Mumbai. She is a literature grad and never thought of becoming a model, but destiny leads you to surprises. She is one of the leading models of the industry. She has always been proud of her dusky complexion. She started off her career with the Femina Miss India 2000 where she was a finalist.

She was also the 1st runner up of the Vatika Super Model contest. Besides modelling, she has varied interests. She is a presenter and holds workshops on self-defence for a woman. She started Karate years back when a friend of hers got her to a coach.

At first, she was scared but later Karate became her forte. She started winning tournaments. She won her first Gold in Maharashtra State Championship Senior Kumite Open. She then bagged bronze in the Maharashtra State Championship minus 68 kg Kumite. Apart from modelling, Karate and workshops, she also added movies to her kitty. Sandhya is best known for her work in Bas Yu hi(2003), Meenaxi: The Tale of 3 Cities(2004), and Kabhi Socha Bhi Na Tha(2008). She has always had a positive and enthusiastic approach to life and is doing great as a model and actor.
