Nargis was born on June 1st, 1929 in Calcutta Bengal province. She was called as Fatima Rashid but known by her screen name Nargis. She was a great Indian film actress. She made her debut on screen as a young child in TALASH-E-HAQ at the age of 14th in 1935, but her acting career began with TAMMANA film.
