Acting knocked her door when she was offered a role in a Hindi TV Serial “Kachchi Dhoop” by the former wife of the film maker, Amol Palekar. Accepting the role paved the way to her career, and she managed to bag roles in more serials. It was only 1989 hit Maine Pyar Kiya that got this innocent beauty into the limelight. Along with Hindi Films, she also did some Bangladeshi, Kannada and Telugu films even though they never had much of an impact on her career.

Shortly, after the release of her debut film in Bollywood, this sizzling beauty got hitched to her boyfriend, Himalay Dassani. Still not putting an end to her career, she acted with her husband in some films too but they failed at the Box Office. Later, she was blessed with two children Avantika and Abhimanyu and kept herself busy with her domestic life.
