Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000)

With a box-office collection of Rs. 53.2 crores, this heartwarming and endearing story of two college friends turned into lovers through a series of events, have managed to capture the essence of first love beautifully. Jai and Aditi had always denied their feelings towards each other even though the whole world saw it. Until they began their respective relationships with other people, they would not have been able to acknowledge the love that was there underneath all the silly, cheerful banter and playfulness.

Famously known for the bike stunt that Ajay did, this film had a scene wherein he made entry by balancing on two bikes and paving the way for such sequences in the future. This film won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988)

Student of The Year (2012)
Karan Johar's coming of age film was one of the highest-grossing films of the year (Rs. 109.10 crores) with an ensemble cast and promising new faces. Though the script lacks in many ways, his narration and the beautifully captured scenes are worth watching for, and of course, there is the usual movie trope of two boys fighting for one girl. An extra dose of competition lies in the way.
Maine Pyaar Kiya (1989)
Bhagyashree's debut film and Salman Khan's first film in a leading role went on to become a commercial hit and was praised by critics as well. This film, with high grossing of Rs. 15 crores, became the highest among the films of the 80s decade, catapulting both the actors into fame and stardom. The story revolves around the ever familiar and popular rich and poor love trope.
Band Baaja Baaraat
Two wedding planners decide to work together with a no-dating clause in their agreement, and yet somehow, along with all the planning and preparations that weddings need, they fall in love without realizing. Despite it being Ranveer Singh's debut and with the initial competition with other releases, this film was a huge success. Anushka Sharma's feistiness works in every way. The box office grossing went up to Rs. 31 crores.
