The film follows the story of a little girl Munni, played by Harshaali Malhotra, who has wandered far away from home. She is a Pakistani girl who cannot speak and is lost in India after wandering away. She is then helped by an Indian Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi, played by Salman Khan, who finds her and helps her get back to her home and country. After the audition for this movie, Malhotra got lucky and got selected from among five thousand other girls who had also appeared for the same part. This performance of hers, as a mute girl was highly praised and later that year, she also earned a place in the Filmfare Award nomination.
