Ismat Zaidi is a famous Pakistani actress. She was born in Lahore, Pakistan.She belongs to Islam religion. Ismat Zaidi started her acting career in 1990’s.She worked on various Tv shows, advertisements, and movies. She has acted in several Pakistani dramas like Man O Salwa and Parsa. She has also worked with many famous actors such as Babar Javed, Mehreen Jabbar, and Farooq Rind. Ismat Zaidi mainly is known for portraying the positive role of a mother in many television shows.

She has also worked with many actors like Mya Ali, Fahad Mustafa, Ayeza Khan, Sarwat Gilani, Ayesha Khan, Neelam Munner , Fatima Effendi and many others. Initially, she was known for playing the positive character of the sweet mother in Pakistan industry. Until 2014 where she showed her dark and witty side by beautifully playing a negative role in Jungoo for Hum TV Dramas.In Jungoo, she played the character of a cruel and money minded women. Ismat Zaidi has worked on movies like Diya Jalay that was directed by famous director Babar Javed. She is renowned for playing roles in Meri Zarra-e-Benishan, Riyasat, Qaid-e-Tanhai and Mere Meherbaan. She also appeared alongside the actor Shehryari Zaidi and also worked with actor Javed Sheikh and Khayyam Sarhadi. She has worked on many serial in 2015 such as Zid and Mol, which is directed by Adnan Wai Qureshi and Ilyas Kashmiri respectively. Ismat has also appeared in A Plus Entertainment, i.e., Bheegi Palkein directed by Furqan Khan in 2015.

She is recently into a serial named Tere Baghair, which is directed by Owais Khan.

Ismat Zaidi’s husband divorced her, breaking their 23 years of bonding. Ismat is proud of her parents-in-law, as they didn’t allow her to get out of their house, even though their son divorced her. She stays with them and maintains a great bonding. After her divorce, she concentrated more on serials. Ismat Zaidi stated in an interview that she stays stronger after her divorce.

In 2015, she played in a TV movie, Lucknow Wale Lateefullah as Amna Hamid. In 2016, she played in the serial Mann Mayal as Salahuddin’s mother. In 2017, she played in a mini TV series, Yakeen Ka Safar. In the same year, she played in a TV movie, Socha Tha Pyaar Na Karenge. In 2018, she played in a couple of TV series, Khalish and Visaal. In 2019, she was seen in the TV dramas, Chand Ki Pariyan and Deewangi. In 2020, she was seen in Meherposh, a TV series.
