Ahu Sungur is a popular Turkish actress, born in Istanbul, Turkey, on February 5, 1981. Ahu studied and graduated in the theatre department under the guidance of Isil Kasapoglu at Academy Istanbul. Ahu began her acting career by performing in various theatres across Turkey, including Semaver Kumpanya, Theatre Kedi, and Theatre Çisenti. She rose to prominence with her role in "An Inspector Calls", a classic play by J.B. Priestly, performed at Theatre Kedi. Ahu garnered great critical praise for her performance in this play.
Ahu's popularity rose when she started acting in television shows. Her first television role was in 1999's comedy-drama Umutsuz Ev Kadınları. She also appeared on various popular Turkish TV shows, including 2007's action drama show Affedilmeyen. In 2009, she starred in the popular TV show Bu Kalp Seni Unutur Mu?, a drama about a military coup told through a love story. Ahu played the role of Asiye in this show.
She appeared in Adını Feriha Koydum and its sequel, Emir's Way, where she played the role of Aysun, and Umutsuz Ev Kadınları in 2011. In 2014, she landed a major TV role in That's My Life, a drama about an orphan girl who gets adopted by poor parents and falls under bad influence. Ahu played the role of Hulya in this show. She also appeared in 2018's Bir Mucize Olsun.
Ahu appeared in 2018's mystery drama Zerk, directed by Battal Karslıoğlu. She also appeared in the 2019 Berat Özdogan-directed comedy film Dert Bende. Ahu also starred in the comedy film The Future Groom in 2022. She also appeared as a presenter on the Turkish reality show If I Have a Chance in 2022.
