Roberto Concina, better known as Robert Miles was born in Switzerland to Italian parents. This youth who was revitalized by gentle tones of the piano grew up to be a musician, composer, record producer and DJ. As a young man, Miles worked as a DJ and in some private radio networks until he inaugurated his recording studio and also a pirate radio station with his savings. His dream house single ‘Children’ shook the globe and topped the charts worldwide. After the success of his song, Miles went on to release brilliant singles namely, Fable and One on One- and also five albums (including 23 am and Thirteen). His entrancing life ended with a tragic turn. He died in May 2017 at the age of 47 after a short struggle with pancreatic cancer. His radio station was taken off-air shortly after his death but it was announced that it will return in 2019 after dismayed messages from fans.
