Born in New York Click to look into! >> Read More... , U.S, on October 17, 1918, Margarita Carmen Cansinowas an American dancer and performing artist. She was the daughter of Volga Hayworth, a dancer and a showgirl and Eduardo Cansino, Sr. well-known on-screen character and artist.
She began going to dancing classes from a young age and took training from Angel Cansino, at the Carnegie Hall in New York. She gave her first dance execution at six years old. At eight years old, she showed up in the short movie 'La Fiesta' by Warner Bros in 1926. Her family shifted to Hollywood, where her dad opened a dance studio in 1972.
Amid the period of Great Depression, people's passion for dancing classes wound down and the studio was shut down. From that point, her dad banded together with her to shape 'The Dancing Casinos,' and she began dancing in bars and clubs.She studied at the Hamilton High school in Los Angeles till the ninth grade, after which she needed to drop out because she couldn't concentrate on both dancing and education.
In 1934, the sixteen-year-old acted in a minor part in the movie 'Cruz Diablo,' and the following year, she worked in the motion picture 'In Caliente.' Winfield Sheehan, the leader of the Fox Film Corporation, noticed Rita at the Caliente Club.
Inspired by her execution, Winfield fixed her a screen test, after which Rita signed a contract with the Fox Corporation.She worked in five movies during her agreement period with the Fox Corporation, which was all small parts.
Her contract halted after its termination. In 1935, she acted in motion pictures such as 'Charlie Chan in Egypt' by Louis King, 'Under the Pampas Moon' by James Tinling, 'Dante's Inferno' by Harry Lachman and 'Paddy O'Day' by Lewis Seiler, in which she performed the part of a Russian artist. She acted her first lead part in the motion picture 'Human Cargo' by Allan Dwan in 1936. After, she signed an agreement with Columbia Pictures in 1937. There she appeared in five of their minor movies, and she also showed up in other autonomous motion pictures.

The film was a standout amongst the most well-known motion pictures amid the war years. From 1945-47, she exhibited her dancing ability in movies such as 'Tonight and Every Night' by Victor Saville, 'Down to Earth' by Alexander Hall and furthermore worked in 'Gilda,' the black and white film noir by Charles Vidor.
In 1947, Rita acted in the widely praised film noir 'The Lady from Shanghai' by Orson Welles, which didn't do well. She appeared in 'The Loves of Carmen,' the American dramatization movie by Charles Vidor as a Carmen, which was a major business achievement in 1948.
In 1952, after taking a break for a long time, she worked in the film which turned out to be her rebound movie 'Affair in Trinidad' that was a quick accomplishment on the box office. Rita worked in several more motion pictures after this such as 'Road to Salina' by George Lautner, 'Fire Down Below' by Robert Parrish, 'The Story on Page One' by Clifford Odets, and many more.
