Miranda Raison

Miranda Caroline Raison is a British actress and voice-over narrator. She was born on 18^th November 1977 in Burnham Thorpe, Norfolk. Being the daughter of a jazz pianist who once accompanied the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, she got a little taste of the entertainment industry at an early age. Miranda developed an interest in acting while studying at Felixstowe College. Afterward, she joined the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, where she started her acting training.

She made her theatrical debut in The Man Who Came to Dinner, a June Stanley's play in 1999.  She has acted in many other plays over the years like ‘Othello’ (at the Theatre Royal in 2000), ‘Don't Just Lie There, Say Something’ (2001), ‘Anne Boleyn’ (Howard Brenton Play in 2010), etc.

Miranda made her film debut playing Marianne Faithful in ‘Suzy Q’ (1999). She got her breakthrough after playing the role of Jo Portman in the BBC drama series ‘Spooks’ (2005-2009). She has also appeared in some episodes of the famous show ‘Doctor Who’ (2007). Some of her most notable works are in Agatha Christie's ‘Poirot’ (2008), ‘Married Single Other’ (2010), ‘Death in Paradise’ (2011), ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ (2017), ‘Sinbad’ (2012), ‘Nightflyers’ (2019), ‘24: Live Another Day’ (2014), ‘I Am Soldier’ (2014), etc.

Miranda has played the roles of a few video game characters as their voice actor for games like Dragon Age: Inquisition (2014), Dragon Age II (2011), Dreamfall Chapters (2014), Apache: Air Assault (2010), and Renegade Ops (2011).
