Jessica Steen

Jessica Steen was born on 19 December 1965, in Toronto, Ontario. She is a Canadian actress born to Jan Steen and Joanna Noyes. Her father is an actor and a director while her mother is also an actress. By gene, she inherited the properties of her parents, and soon it became real as she got into the cinema field at the age of eight. She played as a child artist in the TV series The Sunrunners along with her mother. In 1986, she played the daughter role for the film Young Again. Next year, she starred in the series Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future.

For her performance in the television drama, she claimed the Gemini Award for Best Performance by a Lead Actress in Dramatic Role in 1988. Within a month of moving into the city, she was lucky to replace an actress for the soap Loving. Her performance caught everyone’s eye and immediately she signed for ABC’s Homefront. She won the Gemini Award for Best Actress for her performance in Small Gifts. In 1994, she was on the set donning the role of a doctor in NBC’s sci-fi series Earth 2. She also played the important character roles in Slap Shot 2, Smart House, and Principal Takes a Holiday. She played a special agent in the series NCIS and then went on to act in two Canadian series jPod and Heartland. She also appeared in the drama Flashpoint, for which she got nominated for Gemini Award.
