Born as Chin Ka Wah, Chin Siu-ho Siu hails from Hong Kong. He is a well-known actor known for his martial arts skills. He belongs to Sanshui Guangdong province. He is the brother of actor ‘Chin Ka-Lok’. Chin is known for his action movies. Siu married his co-star ‘Sharon Kwok’ from the movie ‘Dead Target’ in 1991. They got divorced in 1993 and he married Sing Ming Yau in 2001. He has one child.
Siu started working at an early age of 15. He made his debut in acting by doing cameo and small appearances. In 1979, he played a waiter in the movie ‘The Boxer from the Temple’ and appeared as Lin Fu Shing in ‘Ten Tigers of Kwangtung’. In the film ‘Legend of the Fox’, he enacted the flying fox. In the following years he did movies like ‘The Rebel Intruders’, ‘The Kid with a Tattoo’, ‘Two champions of Shaolin’ and ‘Masked Avengers.’ Having a number of movies at his credit, Siu was a familiar face in the industry. He has done numerous films with Shaw brothers.
From 1985 onwards, Siu was engaged in working along with ‘Sammo Hung’ in the Vampire series. Some of his projects with the golden harvest include ‘Mr. Vampire’, ‘Vampire vs. Vampire’ and ‘The Ultimate Vampire’. His career flourished through this era. He then did movies like the ‘Tai Chi Master’ and ‘Fist of Legend.’ These epic films made the audience go crazy over his excellent martial arts skills. It was evident that the industry now had a top notch martial artist for the movies. After this, he did a number of supporting roles in movies such as ’97 Aces Go Places’, ‘Millenium Dragons’, ‘Undercover Girls’, ‘A Battle of Wits’ , ‘Vampire Warriors’ and ‘Ticket.’
In 2010, he did a cameo in the movie ‘72 Tenants of Prosperity.’ All throughout this Siu was applauded by the audience everywhere. He appeared as the main lead in the movie ‘The Lost Bladesman’ as Yan Liang and in ‘Rigor Mortis’ as Chin Siu-ho. Siu was also involved in dramatics and was familiar with television too. His interest in the small screen began very early. He did the role of Qi Yu in the television series ‘Mystery of Sabre’ with the TVB.
In 1997, he acted in ‘The Hitman Chronicles.’ His recent tv shows include the ‘Wudang Rules’ and ‘Elite Brigade III.’ Both of these are based on martial arts theme and produced by the TVB. Even at the age of 53 Siu continues to impress the audience with his distinctive style and performance.
