Camera Assistant
A camera assistant is the guy who practically works the camera, looks after it and follows the direction of the cinematographer to execute the Director's vision.
An assitant cameraman is responsible to bring out the best from the vision of the DOP. They look after the physical aspects of the Camera, i.e the lighthing, the lenses, the settings, etc. The assistant cameraman is well versed with the techincal part of their job and thus follow the commands of the DOP to generate the desired shots.
The assistant cameraman is the one who techincally and literally do the job of placing the camera, moving them, giving directions, tilting, etc. On the directions of the main DOP. The assistant cameraman has his own team which he is a part of. A camera needs a lot of man power to be handled and thus this team has multiple camera persons to operate it. He should therefore be skilled at his job as technically he is the one who operates it. A camera assistant can later on be evolved as a DOP.
