Duncan Clark is a founder, investor, author, and entrepreneur. He was born and raised in England, and soon moved to the United States of America and later to France. Duncan has graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. He is living in Shanghai for quite some time now. Duncan is the founder and chairman of BDA (founded in 1994), which is a consultancy firm in China. Duncan is an investor in the mobile application ‘Happy Latte’. Duncan is a partner at CIB productions, which is a China-based video production enterprise. He has also produced two documentaries one of which is titled ‘My Beijing Birthday’. Duncan is also an author and has written ‘Alibaba: The House That Jack Ma Built’ which was published by Harper Collins in 2016.
He has also authored ‘Website Directory’ (2005), ‘The Burning Question: We Can’t Burn Half the World's Oil, Coal, and Gas. So how Do We Quit?’ (2013), ‘Wholehearted: Giving Our Everything to the One Who Is Our Everything’ (2021), ‘The Rough Guide to Green Living’ (2009), ‘The Rough Guide to Macs and OS X: 10.5 Leopard’ (2008), ‘The Rough Guide Website Directory: Shopping Online and Surfing the Net’ (2006), ‘The Rough Guide to Ethical Shopping’ (2004), ‘The Rough Guide to PCs & Windows’ (2004), ‘The Rough Guide to Personal Computers’ (2001) and many more. Duncan has been honored with OBE in 2013 for his services to British interests related to commerce and investment in China.
