Mary Frances Debbie Reynolds was an actress, singer and entrepreneur, who was born in Texas, United States on April 1, 1932. Debbie worked for nearly seven decades because of her performance as Helen Kane in the 1950 movie Three Little Words, and she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. She co-starred with Tony Randall in The Making Game in 1958, the same year Debbie her debut pop album, was released. Debbie was the second child of Raymond Francis Reynolds, a carpenter for the Southern Pacific Railroad and, Maxine N. (Harmon). After she won a beauty contest at the age of 16 by dressing like Betty Hutton, she started her film career at M.G.M. Reynolds had never danced before being chosen to be Gene Kelly’s partner in the 1952 film Singin” in the Rain. Debbie was a fast learner, not quite twenty. It felt like she had been there for ages, even after 12 years.

She acted as a cheery, wholesome young woman in M.G.M. musicals for most of her early film career. She kept working on stage, putting her dance skills to use. When she appeared in The Unsinkable, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award, she was 31. Molly Brown (1964). She lived to see Elizabeth Taylor’s death after Mike Todd’s ultimately death, and she lost her first husband, Eddie Fisher. Harry Karl, her second husband and, a show magnate, lost their fortunes through gambling. Debbie took the time to write a lengthy letter by hand that is on display at the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and she also gave the museum costumes reproductions.

She recently opened a museum in Hollywood Houses. She uses practically all her earnings to pursue her dream of opening a Hollywood Museum. She has almost 3000 costumes in her collection, along with 46,000 squares of equipment and props.
